Body fat - everyone either has tried to lose it, is in the process of losing it, or lost it and unfortunately found it again. Are you attempting to slim down to get your fine ass even finer? Only 10% of fat loss has to do with exercise. 90% is the diet, and it's the tough part. Diet is something you have to pay attention to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1. Diet plan - You need to prepare and have a plan that is thought out and structured.

2. Preparation - Prepare meals ahead of time in mass quantity so your diet doesn't get sabotaged.

3. Get rid of the crappy food in your house - if the stuff isn't there, you're not going to eat it.

4. Limit the amount you eat out - if you aren't aware of the food preparation process, you aren't aware of the added fat, preservatives, and salt added. If you do eat out, decide online what you want before you go and don't even open the menu when you're at the restaurant.

5. Drink a minimum of 2 to 3 liters of water a day - you can flavor with lemon

6. Don't live-and-die by the number on the scale - fluctuations will happen but a consistency downward direction is necessary. Weigh once to twice a week.

7. Think of it as a lifestyle change and modification - this is not short term! It's changing your habits.

8. Don't focus on the calories you're consuming - focus on the quality calories you are consuming.

9. Give yourself the freedom to cheat 'every once-in-awhile' - indulge once or twice a week. Indulge doesn't mean going nuts and freakin' crazy.

10. If you fall off the weight-loss horse, dust yourself off and get back on - the successful people don't beat themselves off. It's hard but you're the only one that matters. You may fall off 27 freakin' times, but it only takes 1 time to ride that puppy into the sunset. You just need to give yourself permission to succeed.

Studies now show that fat, including saturated fat, is not the devil that it was made out to be. In this video we're looking at 5 high-fat foods that are actually incredibly healthy and nutritious.

1. Nuts

Nuts are not only rich in healthy fats, but also high in fiber and a good plant-based source of protein.

In this instance nuts refers to tree nuts, like almonds, cashews, walnuts and more. As opposed to peanuts, which are actually legumes that grow in the ground, although they're really healthy too.

Nuts are generally also high in vitamin E, as well as magnesium, a mineral that is reportedly the second most common deficiency in the developed world after vitamin d.

Studies show those who eat nuts tend to be healthier, and have a lower risk of various diseases. This includes heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

And despite being high in calories, those who eat them the most appear to be the leanest and at lower risk of obesity in the long-term.

2. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

This is a high-fat (or pure fat) food that almost everyone agrees is healthy.

It's an essential component of the Mediterranean diet, which has been shown to have numerous health benefits in large studies.

EVOO contains good amounts of vitamins E and K, and is loaded with antioxidants that fight inflammation and help protect LDL particles in the blood from becoming oxidized.

It has also been shown to lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol markers and have numerous other benefits related to heart disease risk.

3. Avocados

The avocado is different from most other fruits, in that instead of primarily containing carbs, avocados are loaded with fats.

Avocados are about 77% fat, by calories, making them even higher in fat than most animal foods.

The main fatty acid is a monounsaturated fat called oleic acid, which is the predominant one in olive oil as well. It's associated with various health benefits.

They're also among the best sources of potassium in the diet and a great source of fiber too.

And even though they are high in fat and calories, one study found that people who eat avocados tend to weigh less and have less belly fat than those who don’t.

4. Whole Eggs

Whole eggs used to be considered unhealthy because the yolks are high in cholesterol and fat.

However, new studies have shown that cholesterol in eggs doesn’t affect the cholesterol in the blood, at least not in the majority of people.

What we’re left with is a high-fat food loaded with vitamins and minerals. In fact, eggs contain a little bit of almost every single nutrient we need most of which is in the yolk.

They even contain powerful antioxidants that protect the eyes, and lots of choline, a brain nutrient that 90% of people don’t get enough of.

Eggs can also be considered a weight loss friendly food because of their protein content.

Studies have shown that people who replace a grain-based breakfast with eggs end up eating fewer calories and losing weight.

5. Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is one of those rare health foods that actually taste incredible.

But it is very high in fat, accounting for around 65% of calories.

The reason it's so healthy is because dark chocolate is 11% fiber and contains over 50% of the RDA for iron, magnesium, copper and manganese.

It's also loaded with antioxidants, so much that it is one of the highest scoring foods tested, even outranking blueberries in one study.

There are studies linking dark chocolate consumption to a wide spectrum of health benefits, but the most notable is heart health.

Research shows those who eat dark chocolate 5 or more times per week are less than half as likely to die from heart disease, compared to people who don’t eat dark chocolate.

These healthy high fat foods are really just the tip of the iceberg.
There's many others like cheese, fatty fish and full-fat yogurt that can really contribute to a healthy diet.

How To Make Fat Burning Coffee

You’ll never go back to your corner coffeehouse chain guys,

Today I'm going to show ya'll how to make Bulletproof Coffee. So, for you guys that have never heard of Bulletproof Coffee, it's been around for a little while now. I think it's been a lot more popular now, probably in the last couple of years.

For me, I recently started doing Bulletproof Coffee a few months ago. Bulletproof Coffee, instead of putting cream and sugar, you put coffee, grass fed butter, and coconut oil.

The difference being, instead of using sugar, you are using fats...healthy fats.

The point of that, it's really good if you are on some kind of low-carb diet. The last thing you want to do is fill up your coffee with a lot of sugar. A lot of people will also use Bulletproof Coffee to replace their breakfast. Now, I will be honest, I still eat my breakfast. But, I do eat...a lot. So keep that in mind.

Drink this to start your day right and burn the fat off for good: this is how the recipe works.

Video Breakdown:

1:24 - With Bulletproof Coffee, you want to go ahead and put two cups of coffee. Put it in your blender.

1:51 - Then you out 2 tablespoons (I said teaspoons, oops. I always do that!) of butter, you want to go with grass fed butter.

2:22 - Next you will put about 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil.

2:43 - There you go. Throw on the cap and let it blend!

2:54 - So to be honest, I have been on a low-carb diet for quite a while now, and it works out really well for me. I keep my fats high and my sugars low. I have found this to be a really good replacement, because it makes this nice creamy taste, and has a sweet hint with the grass fed butter. It tastes good, the fats in it are good for you, and it fits a low carb diet!

3:42 - Ah, let's take a look. Got a little foam on the top. I can smell the butter and coconut. You've got a nice creamy low carb coffee.

4:04 - So smooth, so creamy, and I didn't even put any sugar. It is not bitter like black coffee, and again, it fits a low-carb diet.

4:30 - This does have a lot of calories, so some people will replace their breakfast with it. With the good fats, it gives the energy needed to go throughout your day and also, fat (if you watch my video I just posted about fats vs carbs) fats, absorb slower so the energy lasts longer.

This is how I make my coffee, and I love it. You can try it out here: you may not know this, but I didn't always have the toned, ripped body that I do now. In fact, I used to have belly fat, and a weak upper body. I tried so many workouts and "diets" but nothing seemed to work. That was until I discovered this one new style of training that worked. My fat started melting off, and I started building the ripped, muscular body that I always wanted. If this new, "unique" style of training worked for me, it could work for you as well.
